Examples of probable period falsifications

The following falsifications were probably struck after the Cordoba revolution of 399H

Low silver dirham in the name of Hisham II with mint name Madinat al-Andalus
381H
2.00gr 21mm
Miles nš 290 cites a gold coin for this mint and date.

Low silver dirham in the name of Muhammad al-Mahdi with mint name al-Andalus
398H
2.90 gr 23 mm
Aside from a barbarous epigraphy the date is impossible as this ruler only took power the following year.
See Prieto 44.

Large low silver dirham with bungled epigraphy in the name of Muhammad al-Mahdi with mint name al-Andalus and seemingly dated 402H, that is two years after the death of the said ruler.
3.47gr 27mm
