UNIDENTIFIED TAIFAS

Al-Hadjib Khalid
...435- 441.. / 1043-1049...?

The following coins, stuck by an unknown al-Hadjib Khalid, are suspected to be somehow related to the taifa of Badajoz. The reason for this is the appearance of the name Muwafaq on these coins. This name later appears, invariably, on all the known coins of Yahya al-Mansur of Badajoz.Though, the scarcity of written sources makes any affirmation speculative.

Interesting is the switch from the recognition of al-Imam Hisham al-Mu`yyad to al-Imam ´Abd-Allah.
